Adolescents and Teenagers

Managing life with pressure from school, friends, relationships and family can be overwhelming as a teen. Making things worse, there’s often a feeling of not fitting in, feeling disrespected and being misunderstood. On top of that, may be existing issues with family disputes, low self-esteem, pregnancy, mental health issues, learning difficulties or disabilities, stress, depression and anxiety.

I assist teenagers to clarify, talk about and work through issues in areas including:

Peer pressure

School issues & expulsion

Pressure from exams

Partying & drug abuse

Loneliness

Online bullying

Body image & self-esteem

Teenage sexuality

Grief and loss

Anxiety & fear

Sadness & depression

Self-harm

Suicidal thoughts

Violence, abuse & trauma

Family issues

Relationship problems

Teenage pregnancy

I want you to know that you are not alone and there are people who can help.

I understand the social stigmas that come with being a teenager, and thus I aim to help clients sort out their problems while offering support and care through their teen years.
